Job Title: Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities:  Prepare survey plan for field data collection, process data and final deliverables using Arc Info, Microstation, and AutoCAD. Use professional theories and procedures, manage projects from inception to completion including written documentation; perform on-site management of project work interfacing with client throughout project; provide quality control for accuracy of field data collection and office deliverables; prepare and submit reports to client, including professional certification of the work performed; monitor project costs; initiate and ensure correct invoicing; research and investigate new techniques; assist in other departmental planning and projects.

Education/Experience:  Professional Licensed Surveyor licensed in the State of Florida  and five years minimum experience as a practicing land surveyor, preferably in the construction sector. Candidate must have project management experience.  A valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.

Job Title: Instrument/Rodperson – Land Survey Team

The person in this position assists land surveyors by operating survey instruments and collecting information in the field and by performing computations.

Responsibilities:
Accurately run and adjust survey measuring instruments including level, transit, theodolite, electronic measuring devices and total stations with electronic data collecting capabilities.
Performs mathematical calculations. Takes accurate and clear notes and note reduction.
Reads and understands plans and specifications. Know basic sources of measurement errors.
Know principals of staking and marking. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
A high school education or equivalent is required including a background in math, geometry and trigonometry.
Five (5) years survey experience preferred. Some knowledge in controlling the function of surveying instruments and calculators. Computer experience is desired. Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills. Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements.

Survey AutoCAD Technician:
Responsibilities:
This position will assist with survey drafting, label and compute survey points, write descriptions of land deeds, and other aspects of land surveying.

Education/Experience :
Preferably have a minimum of a two-year surveying associate's degree and 2-5 years of AutoCAD survey drafting experience. Knowledge of land surveying principles is preferred.
